ARSENAL LINKED WITH SAHIN

The Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin has been heavily linked with a move to Premier league club Arsenal in the last few weeks, with the Real Madrid manager José Mourinho even suggesting that the move to the Premier league is ideal for the player. However, with only a few days left in the transfer window, it seems that Arsenal will be shifting their focus on other transfer targets because of the negotiations dragging too long with Real Madrid. Arsenal are extremely keen on inserting a buyout clause in the season long loan deal, but Real Madrid are not willing to let the player leave on a permanent basis.

There has been rumours that Arsene Wenger will be looking at other transfer alternatives before returning to Nuri Sahin in the final few days of the transfer window. Arsenal are extremely keen on inserting a buyout clause in the region of £ 15 million. Nuri Sahin was signed by Real Madrid for £ 8 million a season ago. Arsenal recently lost the services of the 24-year-old Cameroon international Alex Song who completed his £ 15 million move to Barcelona. Nuri Sahin would be a capable replacement for the Cameroon international according to Arsene Wenger.

Due to the fact that Real Madrid are extremely keen on bringing the Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric to the Santiago Bernabeu, it would mean even lesser opportunities for the Turkish international. The former Borussia Dortmund player is regarded as one of the highly technical players in the world, but he has played only a few matches last season. Due to his high technical qualities, he will be a perfect fit for Arsenal according to the Real Madrid manager José Mourinho. Jack Wilshere is not expected to return from injury until October and Nuri Sahin would be a valuable addition until then.
